What We Strive For

Ancient Sea Island Continuum endeavors to:

  1. Increase awareness & understanding of Paganism & Earth-centered spirituality throughout the Sea Islands, the Low Country, and the Coastal Empire.

  2. Provide a safe, inclusive environment conducive to spiritual growth, exploration, & education in Pagan & Earth-centered spirituality.

  3. Inform the broader Pagan community about Unitarian Universalism.

  4. Uphold the principles of Unitarian Universalism while encouraging creativity, unique expression, & personal interpretation within each individual's spiritual path.

  5. Sponsor Earth-centered & Nature-based spiritual celebrations for members of ASIC, the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Beaufort, and the general public.

Typically, we visualize the four Platonic elements of Earth, Air, Fire, and Water and Spirit as powerful sources of energy, and that Nature is a manifestation of Deity. We practice rituals to attune ourselves with the the Earth's rhythm of life forces and celebrate festivals (sabbats) that renew a sense of living communion with natural cycles, with the changes of the seasons and the land. We intuit no distinction between spiritual and material, sacred and secular. In perfect love and perfect trust, merry shall we meet.
